"Dear Friends,
After serving Chatham County’s
neediest children and families for more than two decades,
Chatham County Together! now needs your help as we face our
worst economic crisis ever. This year, CCT! has lost more
than $50,000 in mentoring grants, causing a critical shortfall
in our operating budget. This has already affected our staff
and threatens our office space.
....
We are grateful to all our supporters, especially in these
hard times. If you haven’t made your annual gift to
CCT, now is the time to give as much as you possibly can.
If you have made your gift, please consider giving again,
perhaps giving in the name of a friend or loved one, or encouraging
your friends to give. To meet all of our program goals, and
to avoid deeper staffing cuts, we need to raise about $90,000
before June 30,
2010, including $20,000 by January 2010.
....
Thank you again for all that you do for our community and
for Chatham County Together! We hope that by working together,
we will all have a better new year. You may give now online,
in total or installments, at our website, www.chathamcountytogether.org.
Sincerely,
Jim Kirkman, Board Chair, Chatham County Together!"
